Handcrafted from local wadang wood， this set of three Indonesian ornaments features beautiful kawung motifs by Gunadi. Depicting the feathers of a phoenix known as Lok Chan， kawung is a traditional style of decoration believed to have been invented by the king of Mataram， achieved here using the batik method， where a wax resist is applied to the egg-shaped ornaments before submerging them in vats of dye.
